— from magic roots into the sword —

Born into a lineage of powerful mages and wizards, Syrinq grew up like any other magic caster, picking up on her magical abilities soon enough as a child. She was signed up for mage schooling around the age of 5, and graduated some time in her middle teen years. Being around mages and wizards was all the little magic caster knew, and she spent most of her time growing up with her cousin Keme. Although Syrinq's family was known as one of the more powerful mage bloodlines, the thought of assisting a famous potion brewer or be a Hand of the King once she grew up, bored her to death. Instead, sometime during her final years in mage schooling, Syrinq made herself a rogue outfit to dabble into mercenary work.

Mercenary and guild work wasn't unheard of as a mage. In fact, a good amount of casters tended to aid their community through those ways, but the most powerful ones tended to be responsible for grander schemes. It isn't far off the truth to say that Syrinq's bloodline had gone up the ranks in the past few generations, but the details of it aren't exactly known. Syrinq, as well as her cousin, don't explicitly share quite a lot about their backgrounds.

— LITTLE GHOST ARC —

Syrinq, going by her mercenary alias Little Ghost, was a complete amateur at first- Considering she was sixteen at the time, and had quite the cheesy alias, it wasn't a surprise. At first it was helping local civilians with simple errands, such as fetching a delivery or walking their dogs. It took quite some time for Syrinq to grow the courage and do more tasking work, such as fending off a burglar or extinguishing a fire. Albeit slow, Syrinq did get better as the years passed by. It was during her time as Little Ghost she found a stray kitten and took them in, naming them Rêve and becoming inseparable ever since.

Sometime during her first years, the mercenary became acquaintanced with a local blacksmith named Lancelot. This blacksmith was practically the first real connection Syrinq had made outside of her family circles, and it wouldn't take long for the two to become good friends. Lancelot would eventually cast Syrinq a magical sword as a gift, so she could enhance her magic with physical skills. This gift would help Syrinq greatly in her endeavours as a mercenary, and to this day she still uses it as her main weapon.

Once the Little Ghost was a late teen to young adult, she was skilled enough to be recognised as a proper mercenary. In order to reflect this, Syrinq put in the funds to get a personal knight armour set fitting with her sword. She changed her alias accordingly too, as if starting with a blank slate. The mercenary had drawn the design of the armour herself, taking some inspiration from holy paladin armour, and Lancelot did the casting of all the pieces. From then on, Little Ghost went by her actual name Syrinq as a mercenary. By this time, the knight was quite skilled in using her magic skills alongside her physical skills, which was a rare if ever seen before sight in her bloodline. The rewards increased, and eventually Syrinq moved out to be fully independent.

Alongside her now-professional mercenary work, Syrinq took up smithing workshops with Lancelot as a pastime. The knight always had an affinity for drawing armour and weapon designs, and now wanted to make her ideas become a reality. This was the routine for a good amount of five years, being focused on her work and pastimes. Syrinq and Keme drifted apart somewhat throughout these years, and while it was an enjoyable life, it was quite lonesome as well for the knight. She wouldn't get to making any other friends, until a particular knight squad would come heard of in her region.

— WYNTHROX ARC —

Tales of a trio of knights, referred to as the Wynthrox Squad, would slowly spread word around town, and it'd eventually catch the attention of Syrinq. It wouldn't be long until the knight would directly witness this group fulfilling quests and fighting off monsters near her town, even in the streets where she lived. If it weren't for Syrinq finding the trio in a bar by coincidence one day, Syrinq would've forever stayed a lone mercenary. On that fateful day, it was agreed that Syrinq would go on trials for a few weeks to test the waters.

This was the first time Syrinq had travelled further than a few towns away, and while it was daunting, it was exciting. During the trial weeks Syrinq proved to be a skillful fighter, getting along well with the rest of the group. It seemed she was the only one thus far to mix physical and magical skills together, if one wouldn't count the leader's older brother that is. However, it was by no doubt clear that Syrinq was more powerful than the average blade wielder or magic caster, and after a month or so she was dubbed an official member of the Wynthrox Squad. The knight soon became one of the most valuable members of the group, being able to work on the battlefield through teamwork and independently. Her skills to smith weapons and armour was a great bonus as well, and she was given a special place within the base to make her workshop. While it was difficult to move towns away so suddenly, Syrinq would always stay loyal to her promise to come visit at least once a month.

At some point, Syrinq had enough skill to believe she could improve her own armour set and weapon, and so she did. The weapon was recast and fully enchanted by herself, being able to shapeshift into a sword and axe through magic. Syrinq took weeks to figure out the design for her new armour set, but taking inspiration from her old set as well as the Wynthrox brothers' sets helped a great amount. Enchanting this armour set made it way more resistent against physical and magical damage than her previous, and putting on the helmet would cause magic to constantly flow from her eyes. At full magic and physical power, all triangles on this set will glow and have magic flowing from them, as well as the blades on Syrinq's revamped weapon. The knight still has her old Little Ghost rogue set and first knight set on display in her workshop with pride.

Although quite busy with her knightly duties as part of the Wynthrox Squad since roughly two years, Syrinq couldn't wish for anything better. The knight loves going on adventures and seeing new parts of the world, and has made good friends with more people than she ever thought she could. She gets on with most folks in the squad, although she's become best friends with Bartholomew. During her free time, Syrinq is often busy in her workshop, taking care of animals with Parcival, or going to the market to sell her goods. At least once a month, she pays a visit to her old blacksmith friend, telling him tales of the Knight Squad and showing off her blueprints and new creations. Ever since Syrinq's become a part of the Wynthrox Squad, she's never looked back once, knowing she's indeed making the world a little better.

— END OF DAWN ARC —

When the End Of Dawn comes knocking on the door, Syrinq along with the rest of the squad is dumped into an unfamiliar world. Unfortunately for everyone, they are split up, and initially must find one another back. Syrinq starts the journey alongside Keme and Nestor, trying to keep them together as they keep bickering. By the time the trio manages to find familiar faces, Syrinq is extremely tired of folks not getting along, and practically forces everyone to keep it together.

Whilst extremely worried about everyone's whereabouts, let alone wherever her cat may be, Syrinq coordinates with Trine to set up a base to settle for a while. With the help of magic users, the base is protected with a magic shield. Slowly but surely, more familiar faces pop up and it seems folks are finally somewhat getting along. Somewhere in this chaos, everyone tries to figure out where they are or what this place is. Everyone is given tasks and roles to contribute, such as scouting, collecting food or materials. On one particular day whilst Syrinq is out collecting materials, she finds a little lost worm and brings them back to base, not having the heart to leave them to die. Somehow the little critter is recognised as a feral cousin to an extraterrestrial worm species, according to Pallas and Excalibur at least. Syrinq decides to have the worm tag along and name him Grubby.

It doesn't take long for strangers from other places to come across the base. Some from entirely other planets and galaxies, and others such as Torvaldus simply being from a neighbouring country. It's undeniable alliances and friendships are made, with Syrinq getting along extremely well with Torvaldus. However, shit quite literally hits the fan, and it wouldn't be long until Syrinq and her allies would be back on their home planet, fighting against demons. She and Parcival came rushing to the Wynthrox base to find their animal companions, and luckily were able to save them just in time.

After a long struggle and fending off the demons for good, the End Of Dawn prevented, life slowly goes back to normal for everyone, Syrinq included. The knight officially now had two pets, one regular cat and one weird space worm. She eventually made up with Torvaldus and got into a loving commitment, despite the odd circumstances they met in. Trine, whilst more confident of his leadership abilities, assigned Syrinq as his right hand, just in case. Despite all the adventures she's been on, Syrinq is far from being done and living the best of her life, always looking forward to the next journey.
