Bro used to be a widower before I gave him an actual past
Savoi is the only knight in the Wynthrox Squad to solely rely on magic in combat. His strong belief in nature and its powerful deities, have blessed him with powerful magical skills. His abilities vary from ginormous thorn walls, razor-sharp wind and leaf blades to endlessly high waves of water and much, much more. The magical knight is an unstoppable, aggressive force in battle and nothing will stop him from achieving victory. Despite being such a fierce force, Savoi used to be the exact opposite.
When he was younger, Savoi was exclusively a pacifist. His ways of fixing issues were often done through mindful talks and considerations, never raising his fists to put up a fight. Unfortunately, Savoi learned being a pacifist wasn't always the answer the hard way. Some time during his early adulthood, already happily hitched and about to start a family, raiders flooded his village. Savoi, still being the peaceful soul he was back then, tried to get to the raiders through talking. It didn't work. The raiders were mindless beasts, and easily shoved Savoi out of their way to cause mayhem to the village. Many victims fell, including Savoi's family and his beloved.
Savoi grieved for years, becoming a hermit in a lonely cottage in some unknown village, in an unknown land. He would often pray to the deities, specifically the nature deities, to simply answer his call and end his existence. One day, the realisation shot him that Savoi wasn't doing anything with his life, and that was definitely the last thing his loved ones would want him to do. That day, he picked up the last of his dignity, and went traveling to explore more of the world. Through this time, Savoi gained respect for nature and truly believed in and kept praying to the deities of nature. It was his loyalty to these deities that would grant him his magical powers.
When Savoi discovered his gifted powers, he of course started practicing with them. The better Savoi got, the more his confidence and fierceness grew. He'd use his powers to rid of troublemakers, to keep innocents safe and make his loved ones from above proud. Savoi grew to be a powerful magic user, and it caught the attention of a certain knight squad when Savoi got known as a mercenary. The leader of the knight squad, Trine Wynthrox, approached him one day and told him he should be part of this group of knights. Savoi went along with it, as soon as he discovered they had similar ideals. He got a fitting armour set to his powers made by Syrinq, and has been a knight fighting for justice ever since.
As years went by, Savoi was undoubtedly seen as the most fierce and aggressive knight of the entire squad. Sometimes not even being taken on particular quests, solely because Trine believed it could be solved without battle, Savoi was fine to stay back at base and do something on his own accord. Most of the time this was cleaning. Savoi didn't want to drop his aggressive approach to wrongdoers, because he never wanted to seem weak ever again. When the End Of Dawn came around, this feeling only strengthened because of the influx of void creatures and demons. Savoi had to keep the skin safe of himself and his allies, and you could never reason with a being of the unspoken territories.
It changes however, when Savoi finds himself working alongside complete strangers and acquaintances. Some from the same guild, some from entirely different countries and even worlds.. The knight gets easily on his nerves, but decides to row with it as bigger quantities improves their chances for survival together. It's here when he sees different sides to his squadmates, and even his one and only friend Parcival- Normally stoic and in control of himself, now practically biting his nails all day. Others are bickering about what to do, whilst others are lost on what to do to begin with. Similar to Syrinq, Savoi kind of gets sick of people not getting along, and witnessing this also starts gnawing on Savoi's perception of self. It feels somewhat similar, but at first Savoi can't really put it together.
It's when the knight sees everyone's put their differences aside and start getting along, that Savoi realises they succeeded where he hasn't. His own ideals and chaotic way of dealing with enemies, has become an obstacle for him to form more meaningful bonds besides the one he's got with Parcival. It doesn't tie Savoi as close to the close-knit Wynthrox Squad as the others, and this only makes the knight angry at himself. As everyone is working together better and better each day, Savoi fishes for others' opinions on himself. The knight had a feeling he was somewhat of an outsider due to his abrasiveness, but to actually hear it from the others in-person was something else.
Savoi forces himself to be a bit more.. Open, to different approaches and tactics. Listen to other squad members for once, instead of focusing entirely on his own tunnel vision to glory. It's off-putting and entirely new to him at first, but luckily for him he gets used to it. The knight finds that this approach causes others to listen more to him too, and take whatever he's got on his mind in consideration. As the End Of Dawn continues, the knight slowly but surely grows to be a more patient and less aggressive person, similar to how he was before his incident. Still hacking and slashing away with his magic at demons and foul creatures, which Savoi is still more than happy to do, he thinks to himself, perhaps an all-offensive approach wasn't always the best idea.
Once victory is achieved and life goes back to normal, Savoi picks up meditation. It proves to give him peace of mind, which is exactly what he needs from time to time. The knight overall becomes more calm than the usual, bicker-y, neat freak he used to be. Still a neat freak, but more lax about his ideals, Savoi becomes easier to talk to and bond with for the others. It benefits both Savoi's bond with his allies, and his ties to the overall group, which the knight appreciates. Savoi will always be utterly devoted to his nature deities, but once in a while, putting his offense down isn't weak nor all that bad.
