— the sun deity with a hidden identity —

Apollo, also known as Amaterasu or Ōkami, is a being never seen before in the Norinae faction. Magic has left this faction behind, and it's mostly thriving now through their breakthroughs in science and technology. Magic is unheard of when it comes this faction, but it seems to thrive in any other faction that appears within the universe. Around 500 years ago, someone, as if it were a miracle, was born with magic capabilities. From the moment she was born, Apollo was studied heavily in order to understand how she wielded magic, and whether it was any different compared to a regular magical mortal. Her childhood was seeing laboratory upon laboratory, meeting with various scientists trying to study her. It didn't take long for Apollo to forget about the family she came from, and resent them with a hatred for giving her up so easily. Apollo, being the first Norinae to hold magic abilities, was at times even believed to be a deity.

When Apollo had existed for roughly 15 years, she broke out. Leaving no trace behind, Apollo managed to hijack the systems, take a spaceship and shoot herself into the void. The scientists were soon to find out, and tried to track her down. Apollo was on the run and jumped from planet to planet for centuries, before she felt safe enough to settle in a galaxy far, far away from IC-4591 Iagoon Fisaris. Once she passed a certain galaxy, holding a planet with a certain name, she knew that was her destination. In order to blend in more with her new home, Apollo created a self-illusion out of her own magic and settled on the highest mountain peak on planet Apollo, within the VI-728 Vsivaci Galaxy. The only reason she settled here, was because of the planet holding the same name as she had. From then on, life was alright, and Apollo finally felt like she was free to do whatever she wanted.

However, it wouldn't take long for rumours to turn into myths to be passed along from ear to ear. Rumour went that the one and only Deity of Light, Nouroras, had blessed their planet and made a home for herself somewhere secluded. At first, Apollo would ignore these tattletales, until actual mortals were curious enough to hike up the mountain and witness Nouroras for themselves. Incidents of failed attempts to meet the goddess were soon to be reported, and it wouldn't take too long after this for Apollo to declare herself as a different deity. She took upon the name Amaterasu, and declared herself as Goddess of the Sun. Showing off her powers and might, the mortals were soon to believe her, and left her in peace, occasionally leaving behind artifacts and prayers at the foot of the mountain where she lived.

To this day, Apollo still poses as Amaterasu, no one knowing her true name and identity. It's the only way Apollo can see herself living in peace and secluded, not being bothered by a single soul. Apollo has lived on the mountain for nearly 200 years, and even in present mortals remain to believe her identity as the Goddess of the Sun. Due to people's belief in her as a deity, Apollo has slowly grown more powerful with her magical abilities throughout the years she's lived here. She uses her magic often for recreational purposes or to train, and she keeps getting better at it.

Ironically enough, despite Apollo posing as the Goddess of the Sun, she's anything but when it comes to her personality. One would expect the Sun Deity to be open and loving towards anyone, radiating their light and positivity onto everyone to love. Apollo is far from that, secluded from every living soul on her own accord. While in peace, Apollo doesn't like living here particularly. It's lonely, and sometimes she wishes she could've just been normal from the moment she was born. Perhaps one day, she'll come out of her shell, but for now, it's looking over the world on top of the mountain, and feeling like it doesn't belong.

— THE GUILD ARC —

At some point, Apollo gets sick of her loneliness and decides to create a second fake identity for herself, called Ōkami. The second armour set she creates is simple, yet intricate, and she signs up to the Haevirndawn guild undercover. From here on out, she finally gets to directly interact with others and learn about life. Due to her upbringing, she's easily socially awkward and seemingly unapproachable at first, but she gets more used to it the more she does quests. Witnessing mortals living their lives directly, is somewhat inspiring to Apollo, and she continues upkeeping the mortal identity to keep learning more. It doesn't take long for Apollo to notice other extraterrestrial beings like herself in some towns away from her guild. She'd closely keep an eye on Nestor, Laszlo and Faldorn, interested in them being Norinans, much like Apollo herself.

Slowly, but surely, Apollo gets a distraction outside of all her loneliness living on this planet. The knight doesn't get too friendly with anyone in particular, but does make somewhat of a good connection with Felmyst due to her silence and not thirsting after him unlike most. The only quests both these knights do in company of others, seems to be with another. For once, Apollo feels like she somewhat belongs on this planet, even if she's a complete outsider still. She finds some strange comfort in Felmyst's loneliness, and demonic origins once he shares them with her. Most of the time outside of quests are spent in silence with Felmyst, but that isn't a complaint by either party.

Apollo appears at the guild once to thrice a week, keeping to herself outside of those days, back to posing as the Sun Goddess. After she'd interacted more directly with mortals up close, she decides to finally start interacting with her worshippers. The Sun Goddess would at times come down the mountain and accept artifacts and gifts directly, and share her knowledge and answers to those who needed it.. Even if she was far from being wise. Apollo makes sure to only speak when needed, to keep up that deific impression, and tries to be as friendly as she can towards her worshippers. Truth be told, she feels quite awkward about this image, and wishes instead she'd settled as just a regular mortal. Her feelings of responsibility get the better of her though, and she keeps it up alongside her second fake identity at the guild, practically spending time as both identities by 50/50. Lately, however, she's been spending more time as her second identity, enjoying that more and more as time passes by. Perhaps, at one point, Apollo will feel at home here, but that remains to be seen.

— END OF DAWN ARC —

Once the End Of Dawn begins, affecting the planet and its residents, Apollo doesn't bear much mind to it. Brushing it off as another war that'll soon be over, the posing deity mainly keeps to herself.. Until she notices some members of the guild she works at, have completely disappeared. Wondering where they may be, Apollo tries to search the planet high and low for them, with no sign to be found. She adopts her reclused identity again as the Sun Goddess, and decides to patiently wait it out, in hopes to see some change.

It's only after the End Of Dawn, that she's noticed something has changed. It doesn't take long for Apollo to lay eyes upon a new Norinan individual, besides the three she'd kept an eye on for so long. This 4STR0N4UT, it seemed to her, had reunited with their old friends after particular events. She found it interesting to observe others like herself in a different environment than IC-4591 Iagoon Fisaris, and quickly realised that after centuries, her faction could've changed. Apollo silently left her position as a posing deity behind, leaving no trace, yet again. She received fuel from 4STR0N4UT, in order to recover her own ship that's laid unused for a long time. The only person she revealed her true identity to and bid farewell to, was Felmyst. The posing deity left way before 4STR0N4UT and her friends did, back on track to her original home.

While skeptical upon arrival, Apollo soon learned that the state of things indeed had changed while she was gone. The previous scientists who had studied her extensively before, had apparently been fired long, long ago. Apollo's family was nowhere to be found, but she didn't quite mind that. She was independent, and while other Norinan citizens were still intrigued by her magic, Apollo never saw another laboratory ever again. She followed a course in order to become part of Iagoon Fisaris' security department, and soon worked in close proximity with the stronger individuals due to her magic boost. She learned to open up and connect to others, becoming quite literally the definition of Sun Goddess she should've been all that time ago. A positive ray of sunshine accepting herself, taking care of the changed Iagoon Fisaris, alongside the people and coworkers she cared most about. Throughout the years she'd become a high-ranking officer, regarded as one of the most trusted by Chief himself.
